This week we've been planning our 4th phase projects and meeting with Mike and andew about them. Phase 3 photoPhase 4 PlanningMeeting reflectionI learned that there were too many ideas for one plan so we settled on just doing astro photography and then learning how to do screen printing another time. Then also I need to learn how to write technical.

This week we went on a 2 day camping trip to Lake Clymaca to take astro phtottoghy. We then only had one day of actually being at school which we took to do blogs but I did a tour for 3 hours and then had to leave early to go to a swim meet. ProjectI caught whirlpool but it took us 2 try's to get it. The first night around 12:30 me and my group put in the cordenentx into the telescope and set it to take 60 photos . but almost all the photos only caught random stars instead of the actual galaxy so we decided to do it the next night. The next night we repeated the same process and got it after setting out there for a good hour in sleeping bags in the cold. We then helped some other people with there phototoghery we even slept out on the parking lot for an hour or 2. It was an unforgettable experience. Personal There are a lot of things I am going to remember from this trip. I am going to remember sitting out side all night with my friends under a blanket looking at thre stars and counting how many shooting stars we saw. Then seeing the sunrise as I daze in and out of sleeping. I will also remember sitting out in my hammock during the day and talking to my classmates and then watching everyone else also get into my hammock. I also will never forget helping Jasmine hop around with her sprained ankle and asking for ice. I also with especially wont forget my hammock breaking when I was in it and hurting my back because of it for the next 5 days. It was the funniest camping trip I've ever been on and hope to go camping soon again. MY BIG RELIZEATION!!! Along with the shenanigans that were happening I realized something... I really love astronomey and want to know more. I've always have been into astronomy and space stuff since I gerw up watching a lot of sicfy stuff like The 5th Element and Star wars but also my family is somewhat outdoorsy so I remember going camping and looking at the stars for long periods of time. I also remember a room in a house we used to live in where the whole celling is covered in glow in the dark stars. If you look at any of my recent artwork it all has space elements in them. Ive always wanted to go do stuff with the astronomy club an explore the outdoors with them but I am really shy and don't have any friends in the astromey club. But I super want to know how to set up the telescope, read consolations, work the telescope and so much more. The only thing holding me back is me being to shy to ask people. I have always been shy and awkward and on top of that I have anxiety. So I realized there that I really want to do stuff like that. I just need to get over my shyness and go for it. Pictures This week we did alot of planning for our 3 day ca,ping trip next week and how we are going to do are astro phtotoghery. We also read chapter 2 of light and we also are starting to finish up printing all the landscaes. ChemistryWe are going to be taking photos of the whirlpool galaxy (M51) on the first night at its highest peak at 12:30. Using the 8in telescope. Then either later on in the first night we are going to take a landscape photo using the light pollution cancellation lens.
This week we stared reading a book called light and then we wrote an essay with a promet attached to it. Then we also made puddy in chemistry to leran how the epoxy works. I also finished editing my landscape photo. This is my fininal photo but still needs some work in lightroom. Humanities“How does the work of scientist, artist and philosophers lead to wonder and curiosity?” Scientist are usually the first to ask a question most people don't ask questions about that is bigger than ourselves. When they work to find the answer that question, then conclude an answer. People then tend to follow up and ask more questions depending depending on if there findings were true or false. For example, Dr. Carlo Cipollone once said “Galileo’s ideas not only sparked a scientific revolution, they initiated a large-scale revolution in human thinking. He changed the way we see the world and more importantly, how we perceive ourselves within it.” By asking questions and then going to find those answers influenced a whole new revolution that involved a new way of thinking within a time that was heavily ruled by religion. Galileo was sentenced to house arrest for the rest of his life since he kept on combating religion with science. It's not necessarily him trying to take down religion he was just thinking about life in a different way, which influenced others to also question their world. A artist and philosophers are though it is slightly different because, philosophers discoveries are based on opinions, not facts, and can not be proved with an experiment. It's all in the mind of the beholder. With artist though everything is shown not told. People tend to make up their own questions and meaning from them. From my personal experience as an artist and being around a lot of artist from a young age people always tend to come up with there own meaning of the art pieces, but there are also times when they are curious about what when though the artist head while creating the artwork whether it's at a technical point or a meaning point. But what is truly special at least for me in art is that you can create anything in your head, you can take any idea and make a visual out of it where people either form a question or connection from it or is simply just another piece of art. Philosophy is essentially either people asking questions about things like life, meaning, feeling etc. or answering those questions even just pointing things out. For example for a while I've looked a lot into existlist philosophers like Albert Camus and Jean- Paul Sartre. They both say things that makes people like me and other question their whole existence and meaning in life. For example “We are our choices.” Jean- Paul Sartre, Those four words just made me think about all the choices I have made in my life and what would happen if I didn't do the things I’ve done and what of decisions and choices I will have to make and in the future and just a bunch of other things. So in conclusion The reason sientes, artist and philosophers work lead us to wonder and curiosity is because the work of their wonders and curiosity makes us ask questions about our world and within. ChemistryWhat is a Palmer? A substance that is used in plastics and resin and the macular structure is so closely bounded together How dose the polymersion process occur? Monomer mulches together during a chemical reaction to form chains of polymer. Can you describe the connection to the connection to the polymersion of the PVA (school glue) that we did in class? When you mix up PVA and Borax they create crosschains with the polymer and then when mixed enough becomes slime. How can this help with our project? It teaches us more chemistry since our project is very heavy in the learning of the technique in phtotoghy. What can we lern from light/What infomation is in light? |
